Doncaster Archives' holdings in relation to Tickhill are extensive, and include the parish church records of Tickhill St Mary dating back to 1538, Wesleyan Methodist church records dating back to 1776, town council records, land and property agreements, estate papers, maps, school records, photographs and more.

The City of Doncaster Archives Place Name Index is extremely user-friendly and searchable by keyword. A simple search under 'Tickhill' will list their currently catalogued holdings (although this yields results for everything, for example "Tickhill Road").  If you have particular areas of focus, you would also be able to narrow this down in your search.

A link to the the Place Names Index is included in the Links section of the History Society's website together with a link for anyone wishing to make an appointment to view documents in their reading room.
