| We are very grateful to
the Heritage Lottery Fund for their grant of £20,100
which has enabled the Society to implement its “Tickhill
Then, Now, and for the Future” project.
The project was launched in the summer of 2006 and although
funding finished in September 2009, all the activities which
the funding has enabled us to get under way will continue and be
ongoing.
We have been able to buy pieces of equipment and fund key
activities. As a Society, our contribution is our time –
we’re time rich but cash poor!
The aims of the project are:-
- To preserve and collect together as digital records important
heritage material such as photos and documents
- To make this all widely available through this website,
exhibitions and talks etc.
- To involve people in the community, inviting them to
contribute to and share in activities
- To create a resource for future generations
There are many, many people who have helped us with the development
and launch of this website and whose regular contributions
enable us to keep it lively and interesting. It would be invidious to try to
name them all. You know who you are! We are very grateful.

achieved so far in this very successful project, please

Do you have any photographs which show aspects of life in
Tickhill in years gone by? If you would allow us to scan them,
we can share them with other
people in our exhibitions, talks and on our website. Please get
in touch if you can help.
