Maltby Grammar School c 1960

This was a great school. I hear they want to demolish it! It might be best iof they built on its former reputation rather than demolish its past!
Guest_Don Stephens  [Jul 16, 2015 at 12:29 PM]
I have just learned of this plan. Tragic! The expertise and ambience of this fine school in the 50,equipped a less than gifted pupil to make some small success in life.

It would be a shame I spent 3 happy years 1967-69 there.

A great school that made a massive difference to many pupils. I was lucky to be there 1962-1969. Fully agree with Paul Jowitt.

Wow! Tony Barber and Tim Stone all at once! Tony and I have met since, but a cheery hello to Tim (I was on your right when Mr. Jeans sat at the front). Oh - 1B, I seem to remember.

"Pop" Jeans was the only teacher ever to give me an "Excellent" mark in my report book. I think he lived in Hellaby.
