TICKHILL AND DISTRICT HISTORY SOCIETY.

USE OF ARCHIVE MATERIALS

All members of the Society and others interested in the local history of Tickhill are welcome to study or examine archive materials. Many of the items are old and irreplaceable. Therefore, in order to minimise loss or damage, some simple formalities must be observed.

Items in the archives can be examined by arrangement on Library premises and cannot be taken away from the Library.

A list of available materials will be kept in the Library, and the list can be seen on request. A list of materials is also shown on the website pages which follow.

Anyone wishing to view the archive material is asked to complete a request form (available in the Library) for the materials they wish to study. Arrangements will then be made for them to come into the reading room.

For those who do not live locally but who will wish to make arrangements in advance of travelling to Tickhill, please contact us by email by clicking here.

At present the most likely times are Tues p.m and Thurs. a.m. Unfortunately, viewing times are restricted to these times because of the availability of the Library (its rooms are used for many functions) and the availability of volunteers to help with the access to the archive materials.
